An autopsy was pending today on a newborn found dead in a closet at a family’s home in South Los Angeles, police said. The newborn’s mother showed up at Huntington Park Hospital yesterday morning, bleeding heavily, CBS2 reported. The girl initially denied having given birth, but eventually admitted to leaving the newborn in a closet at home, according to the TV station. The child was found in the closet, unconscious and not breathing, the TV station reported.
