Taking out double page spreads in local newspapers promoting Fine Gael General Election candidates, including in Limerick, is a disgraceful abuse of tax payers money,” Deputy O’Dea declared. He also feels that the Government were slow to help pensioners last week with an extra weeks fuel allowance and “yet Leo can have his vanity project funded to the tune of €5 million by the taxpayers of Ireland. He should not be preying on the financial difficulties in the Irish media industry to garner attention for his party’s election candidates.”He went on to say that Irish journalism has served our country without fear or favour since the foundation of the State.“It has helped us mark important milestones in our nation’s history and it has acted as a backstop against malevolent behaviours and activities in Irish public life. However, Irish media is under severe financial pressure from online digital advertisers and they are under constant financial pressure. Fine Gael saw an opportunity, through the SCU and the Ireland 2040 project, to increase their presence and promotion in communities up and down the country,” he concluded.Fine Gael Senator for Limerick, Maria Byrne hit back at O’Dea and claimed that Fianna Fáil kept people in the dark throughout all their time in Government.“And we saw where that ended! Do Fianna Fáil even know what the function of the SCU is? When you can’t compete with the content or the plan such as Project Ireland 2040, it seems Fianna Fáil is intent on shooting the messenger,” Senator Byrne told the Limerick Post.“Project Ireland 2040 is a very positive project for Limerick. Limerick city as a driving force for the Mid-West region, supplemented by key players such as Shannon and the Shannon-Foynes Port, are key to the future progression of this city and region.“Fine Gael, who in Government has brought the country back from the brink to a position where we are a leading economy in Europe, has laid out a future progressive vision for Limerick in Project Ireland 2040.“Have Fianna Fáil had a single original thought or plan to improve this country? Calls to scrap the Strategic Communications Unit show Fianna Fail is devout of an original thought. Fianna Fáil wasn’t able to criticise that plan whatsoever and it’s absolutely clear they offer no alternatives,” she concluded.by Alan [email protected] Limerick Artist ‘Willzee’ releases new Music Video – “A Dream of Peace” Print WATCH: “Everyone is fighting so hard to get on” – Pat Ryan on competitive camogie squads Limerick’s National Camogie League double header to be streamed live Twitter Billy Lee names strong Limerick side to take on Wicklow in crucial Division 3 clash
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds stormed the Steam charts in 2017, as battle royale games sought to establish their place amongst the most popular games in the industry.PUBG, as it is commonly known, have thus far led the pack for battle royale esports, hosting some of the biggest organisations in esports alongside big prize pools. However, according to PUBG Corporation CEO Chang Han Kim, it doesn’t stop there. In a recent interview with Inven Global, Kim said that a movie is something he would like to see happen.“I’d like PUBG to become a universal media franchise based on the game. We want to take part in diverse industries including esports, movies, drama, cartoons, animation, and more,” Kim said. “In fact, we received a couple of love calls from a number of developers in Hollywood and Netflix. Our dream is to build a new game-based culture through various ways like this, and have the lead of that culture.”PUBG wouldn’t be the first game to attempt to move in to Hollywood; an Assassins Creed movie was released in 2016 and Resident Evil has a storied and successful history on the big screen. However, many games that are adapted for other mediums often don’t see such success, and this is a challenge that PUBG Corporation would have to address and seek to avoid in the case of a movie.Ironically, the game itself was initially based on mods inspired by 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, though the game has evolved in such a way that we shouldn’t expect too many similarities between the two. What PUBG does already have going for it is that hundreds of thousands of people are already enjoying watching it as well as millions playing it, which no game-adapted film has had the luxury of in the past. Should a PUBG movie manifest itself, it would be interesting to see how fans react to their favourite game on an alternative platform.Esports Insider says: Given the poor reception of films adapted from games in the past, it’s easy to be apprehensive about this idea. PUBG continues to break steam records and is popular all over the world. With Tencent involvement as well, the sky’s the limit and it’ll be interesting to see what they do next. Most PUBG players would arguably still rather the company focused on improving their smash-hit game, though.

(Visited 43 times, 1 visits today)FacebookTwitterPinterestSave分享0 The idea of a circumstellar habitable zone – a radial range around a star where an earth-like planet could support life – may be too simplistic. Science Daily reported that “Tides can render the so-called ‘habitable zone’ around low-mass stars uninhabitable.” Astronomers at the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam studied the effects of tides on planets around low-mass stars (the most numerous stars in the galaxy) and found that the lack of seasons, the increased heat (and volcanism) and synchronous rotation make them uncomfortable at best, and perhaps uninhabitable. “I think that the chances for life existing on exoplanets in the traditional habitable zone around low-mass stars are pretty bleak, when considering tidal effects,” lead researcher Rene Heller remarked. “If you want to find a second Earth, it seems that you need to look for a second Sun.”So far we have narrowed the habitable zone to:Galactic Habitable Zone, where a star must be located (09/29/2009);Circumstellar Habitable Zone, the right radius from the star (10/08/2010);Continuously Habitable Zone, because too much variety can be lethal (07/21/2007);Temporal Habitable Zone, because habitable zones do not last forever (10/27/2008);Chemical and Thermodynamic Habitable Zone, where water can be liquid (12/30/2003);Ultraviolet Habitable Zone, free from deadly radiation (08/15/2006);Tidal Habitable Zone, which rules out most stars that are small (02/26/2011).Other constraints are bound to be realized from time to time, emphasizing the rarity of the sweet spot we inhabit. This would be, of course, predicted from the Architect’s message that he formed the Earth to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18), but today’s scientists have a bad habit of ruling out Architects from their master plan. Make a good habit of studying the Architect’s plans whenever starting life construction on our habitable Privileged Planet.
