During a press conference this week, Hurts reminded everybody of his time with Nick Saban with one simple reference.Speaking to the media this week, Hurts downplayed the idea that Oklahoma would breeze by South Dakota in Week 2. But when he referred to the media coverage of the upcoming game as “rat poison,” that  got a big chuckle from the crowd.Via 247Sports:“We’re going to treat every game the same… We’ll let y’all (the media) talk about the rat poison of it (laughs). We’re going to focus on what we need to focus on, and, you know, try to get better; fix our mistakes.”Nick Saban famously referred to positive media coverage as “rat poison” in 2017 following a narrow win over Texas A&M. The Alabama boss said that hearing that kind of positive stuff from ESPN was “like taking poison.”last_img
